# MemoryPie vs Flashcards Maker & Mnemonic

The clearest difference is update cadence: Flashcards Maker & Mnemonic at every 3 days against MemoryPie's every 3 months. Flashcards Maker & Mnemonic also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 81%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). MemoryPie's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (80 vs 24). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MemoryPie sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flashcards Maker & Mnemonic sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MemoryPie holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 80 and 24 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of MemoryPie's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flashcards Maker & Mnemonic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
