# Leio vs Bookly

Leio and Bookly both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 84% of Bookly's written reviews are positive against 43% of Leio's. Bookly also leads on ratings volume (63K vs 1.6K) and chart position (#19 vs unranked). Leio's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Leio sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Bookly sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Leio against 4.6 for Bookly. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bookly has 63K ratings behind it against 1.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 43% of Leio's written reviews are positive against 84% of Bookly's.

Leio ships an update every 9 days, Bookly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
