# CDL Test Pro 2021 vs CDL Prep

The clearest difference is rating: CDL Test Pro 2021 at 4.8 against CDL Prep's 4.6. CDL Test Pro 2021 also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.1). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CDL Test Pro 2021 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year and CDL Prep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CDL Test Pro 2021 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 640 and 329 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of CDL Test Pro 2021's written reviews are positive against 86% of CDL Prep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CDL Test Pro 2021 ships an update every 2 months, CDL Prep every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
