# TD Snap® vs SAILS

The clearest difference is rating: TD Snap® at 4.1 against SAILS's 3.0. TD Snap® also leads on ratings volume (856 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). SAILS's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TD Snap® sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and SAILS sells 22 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TD Snap® holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TD Snap® has 856 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of TD Snap®'s written reviews are positive against 33% of SAILS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TD Snap® ships an update every 2 months, SAILS every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
