# TD Snap® vs TextAloud

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TextAloud at 100% against TD Snap®'s 31%. TextAloud also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). TD Snap®'s advantage is rating (4.1 vs 2.5) and ratings volume (873 vs 2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TD Snap® sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and TextAloud sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TD Snap® holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TD Snap® has 873 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of TD Snap®'s written reviews are positive against 100% of TextAloud's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TD Snap® ships an update every 2 months, TextAloud weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
