# My Countdown App vs Countdown

The clearest difference is ads: My Countdown App at none against Countdown's shown. My Countdown App also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Countdown App sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

My Countdown App ships an update monthly, Countdown every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 1, 2026.
