# Chordal Text vs Things

The clearest difference is update cadence: Chordal Text at every 2 months against Things's every 28 months. Things's advantage is price ($6.99 vs $9.99) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Chordal Text costs $9.99 and Things $6.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Chordal Text against 4.9 for Things. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Things has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
