# Vind vs Top Compressor

The clearest difference is ads: Top Compressor at none against Vind's shown. Top Compressor also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.0 vs 3.8). Vind's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 57%) and ratings volume (33 vs 7). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Top Compressor holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 33 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Vind's written reviews are positive against 57% of Top Compressor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Vind ships an update every 2 months, Top Compressor every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
