# HomeTV2 vs CarMate Pro

The clearest difference is rating: HomeTV2 at 4.0 against CarMate Pro's 3.4. HomeTV2 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HomeTV2 holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 16 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of HomeTV2's written reviews are positive against 20% of CarMate Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HomeTV2 ships an update every 3 months, CarMate Pro every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
