# Speed vs Speedometer

The clearest difference is rating: Speed at 5.0 against Speedometer's 4.6. Speed also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (9.2 vs 13.0). Speedometer's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Speed holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speedometer has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
