# IELTS® Test Pro vs IELTS Prep

The clearest difference is update cadence: IELTS Prep at weekly against IELTS® Test Pro's every 3 weeks. IELTS® Test Pro's advantage is ratings volume (439 vs 34) and review sentiment (93% vs 83%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IELTS® Test Pro sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year and IELTS Prep sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for IELTS® Test Pro against 4.6 for IELTS Prep. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IELTS® Test Pro has 439 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of IELTS® Test Pro's written reviews are positive against 83% of IELTS Prep's.

IELTS® Test Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, IELTS Prep weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
