# Timeline vs Lifelog Note

Timeline and Lifelog Note both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 90% of Lifelog Note's written reviews are positive against 66% of Timeline's. Lifelog Note also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). Timeline's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 34) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timeline sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Lifelog Note sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Timeline against 4.6 for Lifelog Note. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timeline has 1.2K ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 66% of Timeline's written reviews are positive against 90% of Lifelog Note's.

Timeline ships an update monthly, Lifelog Note fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
