# Timeline vs Therassist

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Therassist at none against Timeline's 3. Therassist also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). Timeline's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timeline sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Therassist asks for nothing beyond the download.

Therassist holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timeline has 1.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Timeline ships an update monthly, Therassist every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
