# SGMC SES vs VelocityEHS®

The clearest difference is rating: SGMC SES at 2.8 against VelocityEHS®'s 1.6. SGMC SES also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (9.1 vs 13.0). VelocityEHS®'s advantage is ratings volume (150 vs 9). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SGMC SES holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VelocityEHS® has 150 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of SGMC SES's written reviews are positive against 7% of VelocityEHS®'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SGMC SES ships an update every 10 days, VelocityEHS® monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
