# Vumedi vs ScopePrep

The clearest difference is ads: ScopePrep at none against Vumedi's shown. ScopePrep also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Vumedi's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 4). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Vumedi against 5.0 for ScopePrep. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vumedi has 4.4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
