# Virtual Ehomaki vs Marker Compass

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Marker Compass at 100% against Virtual Ehomaki's 50%. Marker Compass also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). Virtual Ehomaki's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Marker Compass sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Virtual Ehomaki asks for nothing beyond the download.

Virtual Ehomaki holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Marker Compass has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Virtual Ehomaki's written reviews are positive against 100% of Marker Compass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Virtual Ehomaki ships an update every 2 months, Marker Compass every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
