# SPYPOINT vs The Retrieve

The clearest difference is rating: The Retrieve at 5.0 against SPYPOINT's 4.3. SPYPOINT's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (41K vs 2). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Retrieve sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SPYPOINT asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Retrieve holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SPYPOINT has 41K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SPYPOINT ships an update fortnightly, The Retrieve every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
