# IssieBoard vs Hebrew Keyboard

The clearest difference is rating: Hebrew Keyboard at 4.9 against IssieBoard's 3.3. Hebrew Keyboard also leads on ratings volume (48 vs 3). IssieBoard's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 21 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hebrew Keyboard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. IssieBoard asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hebrew Keyboard holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hebrew Keyboard has 48 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of IssieBoard's written reviews are positive against 88% of Hebrew Keyboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IssieBoard ships an update every 6 weeks, Hebrew Keyboard every 21 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
