# NHTM vs The Blox

The clearest difference is ads: NHTM at none against The Blox's shown. NHTM also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). The Blox's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (191 vs 5). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for NHTM against 4.9 for The Blox. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Blox has 191 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

NHTM ships an update every 14 months, The Blox every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
