# Small Square vs Jump Drive

The clearest difference is rating: Jump Drive at 4.6 against Small Square's 3.2. Jump Drive also leads on ratings volume (380 vs 6). Small Square's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jump Drive sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Small Square asks for nothing beyond the download.

Jump Drive holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jump Drive has 380 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Small Square's written reviews are positive against 68% of Jump Drive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Small Square ships an update monthly, Jump Drive every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
