# Mailing Label Designer vs PrintKit

The clearest difference is rating: PrintKit at 5.0 against Mailing Label Designer's 4.4. PrintKit also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Mailing Label Designer's advantage is review sentiment (28% vs 0%) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mailing Label Designer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. PrintKit asks for nothing beyond the download.

PrintKit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mailing Label Designer has 2.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Mailing Label Designer's written reviews are positive against 0% of PrintKit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mailing Label Designer ships an update every 6 weeks, PrintKit fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
