# HISTORY Vault vs Fiends

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Fiends at 100% against HISTORY Vault's 29%. Fiends also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.9) and in-app purchases (none vs 4). HISTORY Vault's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 45 months) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HISTORY Vault sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Fiends asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fiends holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HISTORY Vault has 1.1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 29% of HISTORY Vault's written reviews are positive against 100% of Fiends's.

HISTORY Vault ships an update monthly, Fiends every 45 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
