# Starbird Chicken vs MIXT

The clearest difference is monetization model: Starbird Chicken at free against MIXT's free with in-app purchases. Starbird Chicken also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 1.2K). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Starbird Chicken against 4.6 for MIXT. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Starbird Chicken has 12K ratings behind it against 1.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 35% of Starbird Chicken's written reviews are positive against 31% of MIXT's.

Starbird Chicken ships an update fortnightly, MIXT every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
