# Sea Grape vs The Palisade

The clearest difference is monetization model: The Palisade at ad-supported against Sea Grape's free with in-app purchases. The Palisade also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 89%). Sea Grape's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 4). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Sea Grape against 5.0 for The Palisade. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sea Grape has 29 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 89% of Sea Grape's written reviews are positive against 100% of The Palisade's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
