# Express Lanes vs BancPass

The clearest difference is rating: BancPass at 4.6 against Express Lanes's 1.5. BancPass also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BancPass holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BancPass has 5.7K ratings behind it against 57, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Express Lanes's written reviews are positive against 31% of BancPass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Express Lanes ships an update every 2 months, BancPass weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
