# Face Swap vs youmask

The clearest difference is rating: Face Swap at 4.3 against youmask's 3.2. Face Swap also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 41). youmask's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Face Swap sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and youmask sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Face Swap holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Face Swap has 1.8K ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of Face Swap's written reviews are positive against 52% of youmask's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Face Swap ships an update every 5 weeks, youmask every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
