# Mystery Manor vs Mystery Files

Mystery Manor and Mystery Files both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 58% of Mystery Files's written reviews are positive against 40% of Mystery Manor's. Mystery Files also leads on chart position (#180 vs unranked) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). Mystery Manor's advantage is ratings volume (30K vs 5.9K). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mystery Manor sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Mystery Files sells 20 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Mystery Manor against 4.6 for Mystery Files. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mystery Manor has 30K ratings behind it against 5.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 40% of Mystery Manor's written reviews are positive against 58% of Mystery Files's.

Mystery Manor ships an update monthly, Mystery Files fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
