# The Tip vs OT Camera

The clearest difference is rating: The Tip at 4.9 against OT Camera's 2.8. The Tip also leads on ratings volume (354 vs 44) and device support (3 vs 1). OT Camera's advantage is review sentiment (38% vs 0%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 19 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Tip holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Tip has 354 ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of The Tip's written reviews are positive against 38% of OT Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

The Tip ships an update every 19 months, OT Camera monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
