# Memo Pad vs Notepad

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Memo Pad at 76% against Notepad's 33%. Memo Pad also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Memo Pad sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Notepad sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Memo Pad holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Memo Pad has 434 ratings behind it against 64, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 76% of Memo Pad's written reviews are positive against 33% of Notepad's.

Memo Pad ships an update every 6 weeks, Notepad every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
