# String Quartet SightRead Tutor vs Cello Tuner

The clearest difference is rating: Cello Tuner at 4.2 against String Quartet SightRead Tutor's 3.0. Cello Tuner also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (451 vs 15). String Quartet SightRead Tutor's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (50% vs 40%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. String Quartet SightRead Tutor sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Cello Tuner asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cello Tuner holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cello Tuner has 451 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of String Quartet SightRead Tutor's written reviews are positive against 40% of Cello Tuner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
