# LockNote vs Journey

The clearest difference is monetization model: LockNote at free against Journey's freemium. LockNote also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). Journey's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (81% vs 67%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LockNote sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Journey sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LockNote ships an update every 3 weeks, Journey weekly. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
