# LockNote vs 日记本

The clearest difference is monetization model: LockNote at free against 日记本's free with in-app purchases. LockNote also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 50%). 日记本's advantage is iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LockNote sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and 日记本 sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
