# LockNote vs 星垂日记

The clearest difference is monetization model: LockNote at free against 星垂日记's freemium. LockNote also leads on ratings volume (13 vs 1). 星垂日记's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LockNote sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and 星垂日记 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

星垂日记 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LockNote has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LockNote ships an update monthly, 星垂日记 every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
