# LockNote vs 星垂日记

The clearest difference is monetization model: LockNote at free against 星垂日记's freemium. 星垂日记's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LockNote sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and 星垂日记 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LockNote ships an update every 3 weeks, 星垂日记 every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
