# Fraction Calculator vs CONVERT UNITS

The clearest difference is ads: Fraction Calculator at none against CONVERT UNITS's shown. CONVERT UNITS's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fraction Calculator sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and CONVERT UNITS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Fraction Calculator against 4.7 for CONVERT UNITS. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CONVERT UNITS has 1.4K ratings behind it against 157, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 75% and 76% positive.

Fraction Calculator ships an update monthly, CONVERT UNITS weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
