# Symbol Series vs Anomaly

The clearest difference is ads: Anomaly at none against Symbol Series's shown. Anomaly also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). Symbol Series's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Symbol Series sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Anomaly sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Symbol Series ships an update every 3 months, Anomaly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
