# Live Share vs Pic

The clearest difference is rating: Pic at 4.7 against Live Share's 3.0. Pic also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 45 months). Live Share's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 31%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Live Share sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Pic asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pic holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pic has 1.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Live Share's written reviews are positive against 31% of Pic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Live Share ships an update every 45 months, Pic every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
