# Live Share vs Screen Mirroring App

The clearest difference is rating: Screen Mirroring App at 3.9 against Live Share's 3.0. Screen Mirroring App also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 45 months) and ratings volume (29K vs 2). Live Share's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Live Share sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Screen Mirroring App sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Mirroring App holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screen Mirroring App has 29K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Live Share's written reviews are positive against 64% of Screen Mirroring App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Live Share ships an update every 45 months, Screen Mirroring App every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
