# Checkers ‣ vs Checkers Plus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Checkers Plus at every 9 days against Checkers ‣'s every 11 months. Checkers ‣'s advantage is ratings volume (3.5K vs 48). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Checkers ‣ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Checkers Plus sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Checkers ‣ holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Checkers ‣ has 3.5K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Checkers ‣'s written reviews are positive against 48% of Checkers Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Checkers ‣ ships an update every 11 months, Checkers Plus every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
