# Checkers ‣ vs AfroDraught

The clearest difference is rating: AfroDraught at 5.0 against Checkers ‣'s 4.4. AfroDraught also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 11 months). Checkers ‣'s advantage is ratings volume (3.5K vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Checkers ‣ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AfroDraught sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AfroDraught holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Checkers ‣ has 3.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Checkers ‣ ships an update every 11 months, AfroDraught every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
