# i vs i

The clearest difference is rating: i at 4.0 against i's 2.1. i also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 11.0). i's advantage is ratings volume (80 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

i holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: i has 80 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 12% of i's written reviews are positive against 18% of i's.

i ships an update every 3 months, i every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on July 5, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
