# Brain Challenge vs IQ Boost

Brain Challenge and IQ Boost both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 61% of Brain Challenge's written reviews are positive against 13% of IQ Boost's. Brain Challenge also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). IQ Boost's advantage is ratings volume (48K vs 66) and chart position (#54 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brain Challenge sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and IQ Boost sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Brain Challenge against 4.5 for IQ Boost. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IQ Boost has 48K ratings behind it against 66, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of Brain Challenge's written reviews are positive against 13% of IQ Boost's.

Brain Challenge ships an update every 10 days, IQ Boost every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
