# Flight Board vs Planes Live

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Planes Live at 93K against Flight Board's 2K. Planes Live also leads on chart position (#9 vs unranked) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Board sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.79 per month and Planes Live sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Flight Board against 4.6 for Planes Live. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planes Live has 93K ratings behind it against 2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 32% of Flight Board's written reviews are positive against 34% of Planes Live's.

Flight Board ships an update every 6 weeks, Planes Live every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
