# Flight Board vs Scan Boarding Pass

Flight Board and Scan Boarding Pass both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 95% of Scan Boarding Pass's written reviews are positive against 32% of Flight Board's. Flight Board's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (2K vs 60). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Board sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.79 per month and Scan Boarding Pass sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scan Boarding Pass holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight Board has 2K ratings behind it against 60, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 32% of Flight Board's written reviews are positive against 95% of Scan Boarding Pass's.

Flight Board ships an update every 6 weeks, Scan Boarding Pass every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
