# Tull's Life Count vs DigitalCounter

The clearest difference is ads: Tull's Life Count at none against DigitalCounter's shown. Tull's Life Count also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). DigitalCounter's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (20 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tull's Life Count holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DigitalCounter has 20 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Tull's Life Count ships an update every 11 months, DigitalCounter fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
