# Change vs 基因宝

The clearest difference is rating: Change at 4.6 against 基因宝's 3.6. Change also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (49 vs 7). 基因宝's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Change sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. 基因宝 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Change holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Change has 49 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Change's written reviews are positive against 86% of 基因宝's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Change ships an update every 5 weeks, 基因宝 every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
