# Spotlight by Verizon Connect vs @flow

The clearest difference is review sentiment: @flow at 100% against Spotlight by Verizon Connect's 24%. @flow also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). Spotlight by Verizon Connect's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (6.4K vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Spotlight by Verizon Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spotlight by Verizon Connect has 6.4K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of Spotlight by Verizon Connect's written reviews are positive against 100% of @flow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spotlight by Verizon Connect ships an update fortnightly, @flow every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
