# Bar vs Zeron

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bar at none against Zeron's 1. Bar also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Zeron's advantage is update cadence (every 8 months vs every 20 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zeron sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Bar asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bar ships an update every 20 months, Zeron every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
