# YMCA Calgary vs Simran

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Simran at 50% against YMCA Calgary's 7%. Simran also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (1K vs 2). YMCA Calgary's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simran sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. YMCA Calgary asks for nothing beyond the download.

YMCA Calgary holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simran has 1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of YMCA Calgary's written reviews are positive against 50% of Simran's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

YMCA Calgary ships an update every 2 months, Simran every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
