# Stretch and Squash vs Maple Calculator

The clearest difference is rating: Maple Calculator at 4.7 against Stretch and Squash's 1.8. Maple Calculator also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 16). Stretch and Squash's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 62%) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Maple Calculator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Stretch and Squash asks for nothing beyond the download.

Maple Calculator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Maple Calculator has 1.5K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Stretch and Squash's written reviews are positive against 62% of Maple Calculator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stretch and Squash ships an update every 11 months, Maple Calculator every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
